Vice-President / Supervising Attorney
Trial attorney Andrew S. Mendlin is a determined personal injury lawyer and supervising attorney/owner at Curtis Legal Group. He is featured on the firm’s well-known television commercials and appears with the managing attorney/owner, Ralph S. Curtis. Ralph and Andrew have worked together for 20 years.
Andrew knows that when the firm’s clients have been victims of an accident, whether it be a motor vehicle crash, trip and fall accident, slip and fall, motorcycle collision, pedestrian accident, wrongful death, or a construction accident, then they need the firm’s legal help and need it immediately. They are suffering emotionally, experiencing pain, and are overwhelmed by the medical, insurance and legal systems. Andrew knows that the insurance industry doesn’t provide justice without a strong advocate.
Andrew also understands that a personal injury victim needs to tell his or her story in order to receive just compensation for injuries and damages. Yet, the legal system and insurance industry can be difficult and complicated. The legal system and the insurance companies can actually silence an injured victim. Injuries can be arbitrarily overlooked and disregarded. Andrew recalls a case he recently handled where the victim suffered from complex regional pain syndrome, which is a debilitating neurological disease that causes constant pain in the affected body part. The client’s doctors informed her that she had this life-altering disease. Yet, those responsible and their insurance representatives denied her claim. They would not listen to her doctors. She hired Curtis Legal Group, and Andrew proved her condition so that she was justly compensated.
It is true that a victim’s story doesn’t always get told. That is why Andrew Mendlin has devoted over 25 years of his life to personal injury litigation. He wants to help those victims tell their stories to the insurance companies, the judges, and the juries.
Andrew has been a trial lawyer since 1996 and has appeared in several trials and courts throughout California. Before he became a lawyer, he worked as an insurance claims adjuster. As a result of this experience, he knows how to negotiate with insurance company professionals but also understands that a case sometimes requires a jury trial. He works with his clients so that they get just compensation.
As a result of his hard work, strong legal skills, and persistence, Andrew has a successful history of obtaining large damage awards for his clients. As Andrew says, “Hard work, persistence and creativity will give your client the best results.”
Andrew regularly handles motor vehicle accident, motorcycle accident, premises liability (trip and falls/slip and falls), wrongful death, dog bite, and product liability cases. He enjoys doing the necessary research and investigation to find those hidden facts that may greatly increase the value of a case. He knows that his clients depend on him to do what is necessary for them. Moreover, he works to find insurance coverage so that an injury victim will get compensated once his or her story is told.
Andrew graduated from the University of California at Davis in 1988 and received his law degree in 1995 from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. He regularly provides seminars on personal injury matters for various associations; has appeared on the Fox News Channel and CNN as a legal analyst, and hosted a legal radio program for Clear Channel Radio.
Andrew is a member of the Sacramento, San Joaquin, and Stanislaus County Bar Associations. He is also a member of Consumer Attorneys of California and the American Association for Justice.
