Attorney Youlet Ovrahim joined Curtis Legal Group in September, 2005, coming to California from a successful law career in Arizona. She is a member of our litigation team, working primarily in the areas of employment law, civil litigation, insurance defense, and medical malpractice.

Ms. Ovrahim received her B.A. in Economics with Honors and High Distinction from the University of Illinois in 1998, and her law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of Law, in 2002.

She began her legal career at Snell & Wilmer L.L.P., one of Phoenix's premier law firms, where she defended several companies against allegations of sexual harassment, as well as various EEOC charges.

At Curtis Legal Group, Ms. Ovrahim primarily defends small and medium-sized companies against a variety of allegations, including sexual harassment, discrimination, and wage and hour claims. Ms. Ovrahim also successfully utilizes alternative forms of dispute resolution, such as mediation and arbitration, in order to settle matters efficiently without protracted litigation and expense.

Ms. Ovrahim makes presentations on various employment law topics such as the one she presented to the Central Valley Human Resource Management Association titled: Think Before You Hire: Guidelines for California Employers.

Ms. Ovrahim is a member of the Bars of California and Arizona, and is a member of the Stanislaus County Bar Association. She is fluent in Assyrian.
