Attorney Katherine Boyd is a Shareholder and Director of Curtis Legal Group and leads the employment law group. She has been a member of the firm since 1999.

Ms. Boyd has nearly 20 years experience in handling employment and labor matters. She has successfully litigated numerous discrimination, harassment and wrongful termination and wage and hour cases and has counseled clients in many facets of employment and labor law. Ms. Boyd has been a speaker on various employment law topics and has provided training for clients on employment issues including sexual harassment prevention.

She has represented employers before the Workers Compensation Appeals Board, Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, Department of Fair Employment and Housing and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She has also represented governmental entities in litigation matters, proceedings before the Public Employment Relations Board and has been a member of a negotiation team for a collective bargaining agreement.

Ms. Boyd received her B.S. from Memphis State University (now known as the University of Memphis) and her law degree from that same institution in 1989. She is admitted to practice before the state courts of California and Tennessee, the United States Supreme Court, and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Central and Eastern Districts of California and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

She is a member of the Labor and Employment Law section of the California State Bar, the Stanislaus County Bar Association and The Wray Ladine American Inn of Court. She is on the Board of Directors of the Modesto Symphony Orchestra Association, is a member of Modesto Gateway Rotary and an assistant coach for the Triumph Cycling Team for cancer survivors.
