Attorney Jeeni R. Casey has been an Associate at Curtis Legal Group since 2008.

Ms. Casey is a 2003 graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, where she received her B.A. magna cum laude and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She received her J.D from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2008, where she was an Associate Articles Editor of the Intellectual Property Law Bulletin, 2006-2007.

In addition, Ms. Casey was selected as an Edith Coliver Intern, 2007-2008. Each year two Edith Coliver Interns are selected to participate in USF's innovative Frank C. Newman International Human Rights Law Clinic, which focuses on critical human rights issues, including migrants' rights, application of the death penalty to juveniles, and trafficking of women. As an Edith Coliver Intern, Ms. Casey, as a representative of the Human Rights Advocates, a Non-governmental Organization, participated in the two-week long Commission of the Status of Women, held each year at the United Nations in New York City. At the 2008, 52nd Commission, Ms. Casey presented a speech on human trafficking, lobbied, and participated in drafting proposed language for resolutions. Prior to the Commission, Ms. Casey published a topic paper entitled, Preventing and Combating Trafficking of Women and Children for Sexual Exploitation, for the 2008, 52nd Commission.

In 2007, Ms. Casey worked as an intern at the Stanislaus County Superior Court. As an intern, Ms. Casey was mentored by the Deputy Court Administer, worked in all departments of the court house, assisted the family law department, and drafted memos on legal issues for research attorneys.

Attorney Casey's work with the firm emphasizes business litigation, business transactions, personal injury, and general civil litigation.

Jeeni R. Casey is a member of the State Bar of California and the Stanislaus County Bar Association and is admitted to practice before all courts in the state of California, as well as the United States District Court, Eastern District.

A very strong believer in community involvement, Jeeni was named the 2009 Soroptimist International Woman of Distinction in the service area of Human Rights and Status of Women. This award is given to a woman who has made outstanding achievements in her professional, business or volunteer activities. She is an exemplary role model and has demonstrated character and integrity along with outstanding abilities and has demonstrated leadership abilities. She also has volunteered as the Administrative Coordinator for Deeproots Nepal from 2002 to 2009.

Jeeni is currently a member of the Modesto Sunrise Rotary Club.
